Life Lately

  • Okay, first things first: It’s been two months since I quit school, two months of not doing anything, and two months of waiting. And then two weeks ago, I was blessed with some good news: I received my papers that says I am finally allowed to work. Yay! So last Monday, I had my Schnuppertag or what they call here “test day” at the Senior Home where I applied. Thankfully, it went well and I am hoping for them to email or call me back when the Director (who’s still on vacation) returns.
  • Which reminds me...this made me a bit sad because getting work would mean I won’t be allowed to go home for a vacation for the next 3 to 6 months. Sigh. But hey, bright side is that I GOT WORK and I CAN SAVE UP FOR MY VACATION.
  • How did I keep myself busy for the past two months? I’m a boring person so all I did was stay at home most of the time. I spent it watching House of Cards, Suits, and Game of Thrones, listening to GTWM podcast, watching My Love From The Star (because I love Jennylyn Mercado! LOL) and sometimes, I also go out and shop impulsively.
  • I semi-hated myself for a while for not being able to read books anymore. I used to really love reading and I don’t know why I stopped. Twitter threads are the ones I get to read nowadays lol so I downloaded a few ebooks and now I’m starting to read We Are Okay by Nina LaCour.
  • And lastly, a Filipina friend who lives in Germany that I got to know through Instagram came to visit me here in Salzburg and we met for the first time last Saturday (29/7)! Her name is Iraine and omg I love her! Lowkey jealous of the travels she made because she travelled alone and her itinerary was from Germany - Bratislava - Budapest - Vienna - Salzburg - Munich. She stayed with us for three nights and four days and I really love having her around. When she left, my heart sank a little because she actually made me realize how much I miss having friends like her who I can be so much comfortable with. We strolled around Old Town and Steingasse (where my photos were taken), the Festung, had shots beside the Salzach river. We didn’t get to see Leopoldskron and Hellbrunn because we lack time but it’s totally fine because that gave her a reason to return. Also planning to visit her town one day. CAN’T. WAIT.

Here's a photo of me and Raine. <3

So that's what's up with me lately. Hope you guys have an awesome weekend.
